A deposit will be added to all ATA Carnets and an additional security deposit will be added for first time users. The deposit will be refunded once your ATA Carnet has been returned to the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce, provided that it is returned before the expiration date and that foreign customs has confirmed, by stamps, that the goods have been re-exported.

How to apply for the ATA Carnet
  1. Fill in the Application and Product list.
  2. Send your application with the product list to handelsdokument@chamber.se. The application must be signed by company signatory. If the application is not signed when submitted, it is possible to bring a signed application when picking up the ATA Carnet.
  3. The Chamber then sends a confirmation email that the application has been received and if we can meet the requested delivery date. If changes and/or supplements need to be done, you will be notified.
  4. Since the ATA Carnet is a valuable document, we recommend that you collect it at our office. Notify our front desk that you will pick up an ATA Carnet and which company it is issued for.

Once you have received your ATA Carnet
  1. In order for your ATA Carnet to be valid, it must be signed by a company signatory in the marked box on the front page. The Customs Office also needs to stamp the front of the carnet. This is preferably done in advance before the trip by visiting the customs office at Arlanda or Frihamnen. All customs offices can be found on the Swedish Customs website.
  2. Now your ATA Carnet is ready to be used!
  3. Keep in mind that the ATA Carnet is a passport for your goods and must travel with them at all times and shall be stamped by customs at each border crossing.
  4. When you are done travelling, the ATA Carnet shall be returned to the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce before the expiration date. If the ATA Carnet has been handled correctly, the deposit will be refunded within a few days.
